IDS Group secures renowned ISO 27001 certification
We’re delighted to announce that IDS Group is now an IS0 27001 certified software development and systems integration specialist.
The notable achievement – which further bolsters our portfolio of information security credentials –now sits proudly alongside the company’s Cyber Essentials Plus endorsement, secured at the start of 2021.
Pursued to validate our security protocols and provide internal assurances that our processes are executed to the highest standard, the independent recognition will also provide added peace of mind for clients entrusting IDS with even the most sensitive of projects.
“Our journey towards accreditation began 12 months ago, before the world was turned upside down by Covid-19,” explained IDS Group’s systems security architect Iakovos Triantafyllou. “So, we temporarily paused our application before resuming the process in the New Year.
“We evaluated everything we did, including our existing information security policies and procedures, to ensure we looked at everything through a critical lens. Due to the fact that we were already aligned with the standard however, we were able to achieve the certification in a relatively short timeframe.”
As part of the process, IDS’ security experts found ways to enhance controls, and further improve our already robust disaster recovery and business continuity strategies, to fuel even greater resilience.
“We reviewed everything from top to bottom, and devised continuous improvement plans across the board – not because there were gaps, but because the landscape is constantly changing, and so should we,” continued Iakovos.
Our staff are able to work remotely with the same degree of security they would have if they were based in any of our global offices, for instance. And, importantly, they can do this without any detrimental impact on the pace or effectiveness of their roles.
With a dedicated security division and employing some accomplished specialists in this highly complex environment, IDS can also help other businesses with their own journey towards achieving ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus certifications.
